A seasoned legal and corporate governance executive, he brings extensive experience in the global resources sector, having worked across Australia and international markets. Thomas specialises in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, business development, corporate governance, sustainability, business integrity, risk management, compliance, regulatory investigations, and complex financing transactions. Before joining Sibanye-Stillwater, he held a range of senior legal and governance roles at leading mining companies, including Newcrest Mining, Kidman Resources, and Rio Tinto, where he also worked with its former ASX-listed subsidiary, Energy Resources of Australia.
