Asko Saastamoinen, M.Sc. (Civil Engineering), has been appointed Head of Human Resources at Keliber, starting from 1 December 2021. Saastamoinen has assisted Keliber as a part-time HR consultant through his own company since the early spring, with responsibility for recruitments, labour relations, training activities and other employee-related issues. He is a member of Keliber’s Management Team and he reports directly to CEO Hannu Hautala.
Asko Saastamoinen has considerable professional experience from several construction, industrial and mining companies, where he has had responsibilities in HR, occupational health and safety, communications and management. For example, he has held the following positions: HR Manager, SSAB Raahe steel mills; HR and Safety Manager, Agnico Eagle Mines Kittilä; Director, Human Resources, BRP Finland; and most recently as Director, HR, Skoda Transtech. Saastamoinen lives in Oulu.
